Inner Peace

In this modern pretentious society somewhere along the way we tend to lose the identity as to who we are. It is not because we are  persuaded to be someone else but its because we are dissuaded from revealing who we are. We are all going to go through the facades of hell. At odd times people( i think most) ponder over the question,"What am i doing?". I remember a snippet from "Friends" where Chandler quits his job and goes to meet a career counseller only to find out that the job that he did was the job he was meant to do. But we do not like what we do and we do not get to do what we like for the entire world is just a paradox. But it is important to know what we are doing, because it grants us-sense,prediction,security.

The term satisfaction carries very little meaning these days. If i were satisfied with what was going on with my life i would not be writing this- penning my thoughts. Time and tide comes and goes, opportunities knocking on the doors come and go, girlfriends come and go, liquor comes and instantly goes- at the very end of it-we are still not satisfied, because there is still more out there that we could get, which we don't, because we are not altruists and we do not want others to get more. Whether we like it or not - this is how the world works ( atleast for the most of it) , the rest is placated by compassionate people like our friends- only the best of them. Thus, we are inherently not satisfied and satisfaction comes from within, hence we will never be content.

KungFu Panda 2 was hilarious and awesome. I would love to watch it again just to see Jack Black relate inner peace with a grumbling-burping-fat stomach. Inner peace is myopic for most of us. It is temporary and we cannot see beyond certain point because we do not understand it. I do not have inner peace. The times that i did have inner peace was when i was done with a sumptuous meal which i paid for.

So i came up with a formulae for inner peace because i am as jobless as ever.

"What am i doing" + Satisfaction = Inner Peace.
Let be elaborate. If you know what you are doing and are satisfied with it, then you will have inner peace.I believe if you sat down and looked at his empirical formulae you would agree with me.However, there is a downside to this equation.
Eg 1: When i went to watch Transformers 3 with all the hype and the hope and the 3D - I knew what i was doing + but no satisfaction = Complete loss of peace. Hence, filled with contempt, i can honestly say- Michael Bay ....Fuck you.

Eg 2: My job at an IT company. I did not know what i was doing + satisfaction because it was hardly anything to do = No inner peace, because i wanted to do something.

So, my dear friends, go out to a restaurant and a have a meal or your watch your favourite movie and find Inner peace and live that moment, for Innerpeace is ephemeral and evanescent.

Peace
